this has undoubtedly been asked before but i'm still curious -- if they were to make an animorphs movie, who could you see playing the characters?

At my dad's house, visiting Hobbesy. For the first hour or so, he wanders around on my heels, sits on me whenever I sit down. And after that hour, he squirms out from under the arm he put himself under and jumps down to flop on the ground.

"IZ TOO HOT, MOMZ. I BE HERE NAO K?"

And he hangs out on the tile for like five minutes and then goes

"K JUST KIDDIN', I'M BACK."

So he's back to cuddling on my lap, squirming around to try and get comfortable and cool. XD

God, I need him to come home with me. <3333333333

Summary: Behind the sculpted windows and heavy doors of the Osborn mansion, a certain darkness lurks. Lost beyond the tribal masks hauntingly arranged on the walls, buried beneath the carefully crafted gothic decorum lies a secret hidden beneath these walls. He could never say what transpires here, only allowing visitors to catch glimpses into this veiled and darkened world. 

I spent the morning out in front of a grocery store, asking people if they were registered to vote. It was part of a volunteer stint for the Obama campaign (though we'd register anyone no matter how they vote). I did hand off two forms for a woman and her husband--she didn't want to do it without him and he was at home. I only had one person tell me he was voting McCain after he heard that we were part of Obama's army. But I think I had at least three people tell me they don't vote, period, with no good reason like not being a US citizen.

The best part was when the local coordinator came by to check on us. Then we had a terrific conversation going on between me the white woman, Kyle the African-American and Yusef the Muslim. Good vibes.

While I was doing that, Mr. Bead took Little Bead to the Eno Festival. They listened to some live music, played some games, and Little Bead went wading in the Eno River to try and catch waterbugs, salamanders and crawdads.

And it gave us something to do while we wait for the "Doctor Who" finale. I am trying so hard not to look at reaction posts yet, but it's killing me.

Went to a stitch & bitch last night and enjoyed myself thoroughly. Why must these wonderful gatherings all be at times that I can almost never attend AND on the other side of town? To console myself, I made my last intended "me" purchase for a while, a lovely purple-striped yarncraft bag.

I've done a lot of housecleaning today.

Still putting way too much of my brain into wondering and worrying about tomorrow's "Doctor Who".

Doing my first volunteering stint tomorrow with the Obama campaign, looking to register people to vote at the Eno Festival.

In a series this long, there are some absolutely brilliant books, and also some rather dodgy ones.

Having rediscovered Animorphs due to a lovely FST I picked up (The Invincible, for those who wondered), I started lurking around here about a month ago. So HI EVERYONE!

I discovered this lovely picture on the wonderful FailBlog, and my first thought was "IT HAS TO BE THE ANIMORPHS :O I SHOULD SHOW THE GUYS AT animorphs!" So, enjoy!

This was supposed to be about how Xavin/Karolina is a more realistic same-sex couple than can be found in most young adult fiction, but after a while I just started being like "XAVIN/KAROLINA IS T3H ROX0RS" so it's hard to tell what point I'm trying to make. I don't mean that the couple that sets the best example for GLBT teenagers should be kept together just to provide good role models, which I think I end up sounding like I'm saying. I don't mean that. I just love Xavin.

(oh, and I really don't like Nico, and you can tell. Just a warning.)
